It was hot and logistically it was challenging but, it was beautiful in every way. Great group of people, superb food and a gorgeous view of the farm and sunset ... honestly, what more could you hope for?

Comment on Outstanding in the Field with Monica Pope

Cleverley -
I was a volunteer in the kitchen along with many others. Yes it was hot, yes it was inconvenient but it was oh so gratifying being with the wonderful family from Jolie View Farm as well as the intrepid folks from Houston.

Comment on Chef Olivier Departs Tony's

Where can I contact you for a small dinner party in November?

Comment on National Association of Catering Executives Celebrate 50th Anniversary - Houston Included

Fifty years for NACE! WOW, I didn't realize that. What a wonderful accomplishment and we hope that it has many more 50-year celebrations in its future. The waitress hurried to our table with a welcome suggestion of "martinis - asap." As we shared Ike experiences with Lance, Shepard found an outlet to recharge our phone!

The modified menu still shined, considering Lance had to make do with whatever he could find at short notice as most stores had no power. Their effort made us feel normal for the evening. On the way out we bumped into Shepard's fiancee, Gretchen, who asked if we needed ice and dashed back with two bags to go ... Talk about feeling like family! That memory will stay with us forever.

Comment on Benefit bank account set up for James Koonce and daughter Katharine, critically injured in Brennan's fire

I am a former neighbor of the Koonce family. I was so upset to hear about James and Katherine. Could you provide that information? Our son was born not long before Katherine when we lived across the street from them.
