Dei Maggi Announces New Restaurant in Houston
Michael Dei Maggi, former executive chef for Max's Wine Dive, Houston, told me yesterday that he will open a new restaurant called The Rockwood Room this fall. He announced that he left Max's on my radio show on April 11th so he's moving very quickly with his new endeavor.

I don't want to say where the restaurant will be located just yet - would rather that he has the lease signed first. But I can tell you that it is a well-known space and it's pretty cool inside. For his buildout he's using the same architect that designed The Grove and the new Restaurant RDG/Bar Annie. Ever the showman, MDM looks forward to creating 'culinary theater' for his fans with an open kitchen.
